[BREAKOUT] Leadership Styles

08:00 AM 09:30 AM Esplanade Ballroom 1

Are you understood in the workplace? Do you fully understand your boss? Do you fully understand your direct reports? Do you fully understand your clients?

Perspectives can be a powerful tool. So often our language, style, pace, posture is determined by our leadership style….and if this is not the same style as the person we are seeking to understand or hoping will hear us, there can be confusion or even collision...ouch!

Join Bea Wray for an interactive and energetic workshop on leadership styles and learn:
  • An overview of leadership styles
  • Which style YOU use most
  • Which styles you interact with; and
  • How to leverage this knowledge for greater impact and effectiveness.

Speakers

[BREAKOUT] Folding Time

08:00 AM 09:30 AM Esplanade Ballroom 2

As leaders we are constantly being asked to do more with less. So we focus on being more "productive" and trying to get twice as much done in half the time. But no matter how productive we get, our calendars are triple-booked and our inboxes are overflowing.

The goal isn't to get the most work done. It's to get the most important work done, efficiently and effectively. To do that, we need to not only manage our time, but focus our attention, and leverage our energy.

In this session, you will learn:
  • How to choose your most strategic time window based on your personal productivity style
  • Understand how to identify and eliminate distractions and "attention killers"
  • How The 15-Minute Rule can help you increase your sense of control and move all your projects forward
  • How to "make time in time" and turn unproductive windows into magical moments

If You Can Dream It, You Can Build It

04:00 PM 04:45 PM Esplanade Ballroom

When we allow ourselves to dream, and then find the courage to pursue those dreams no matter what the risk, the results can often be far greater than we could have ever imagined not only for ourselves, but for the world around us. The Chevy Montage All Female Build was more than just a truck restoration build. It was an exercise in dreaming outrageously, creating a community, and challenging not only ourselves but the status quo.
